LetterMe is designed for two players and is played on a 5x5 square board. The boards are personal, meaning that each player has their own board that their opponent cannot see. To start the game, a random letter is placed somewhere on the board. This ensures that both players have an equal number of moves (12 each). Players take turns choosing a letter, which they must place on the board along with the letter given to them by their opponent.
The objective of the game is to create as many words as possible, with the highest possible score. The words can be written left to right or from top to bottom. Each row on the board can contain more than one word, such as a combination of a 2-letter and a 3-letter word, or two separate 2-letter words.
One-letter words = 0 points
Two-letter words = 2 points
Three-letter words = 3 points
Four-letter words = 4 points
Five-letter words = 10 points
